This information is from the Atherton and Menlo Park police departments and the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Under the law, people charged with offenses are considered innocent until convicted.

Atherton

Strong-arm robbery: A girl reported on April 26 that her ex-boyfriend stole her cell phone by force at Menlo-Atherton High School.

Grand theft: Peninsula Custom Homes reported on April 23 that someone stole construction tools from a site in the first block of Sutherland Drive.

Menlo Park

Assault: Someone reported on April 23 being assaulted and robbed at the intersection of Merrill Street and Santa Cruz Avenue.

Assault with a deadly weapon: Someone was injured while attempting to break up a fight between two women near the intersection of Ivy Drive and Willow Road on April 23.

Battery:
** Someone reported on April 23 being assaulted by an ex-employee in the 400 block of El Camino Real.
** A woman reported on April 28 being assaulted near the intersection of El Camino Real and Roble Avenue by three people whom she knew.

Hit-and-run:
** A resident of the 800 block of Pierce Road reported on April 23 that someone drove into the resident's fence and caused damage.
** Someone drove into a vehicle and fled the scene near the intersection of Ravenswood Avenue and Middlefield Road on April 29.

Fraud:
** Someone attempted to make a purchase with a stolen credit card in the 300 block of Sharon Park Drive on April 27.

** A resident of the 1300 block of Madera Avenue filed an identity theft report on April 28.

** A resident of the 200 block of Ivy Drive reported fraudulent activity on her checking account on April 28.

Vandalism: Car window smashed, 100 block of Oak Court, April 28.

Vehicle theft: Vehicle stolen, 100 block of Hamilton Avenue, April 29.

Burglaries: Someone entered a residence in the 1000 block of Del Norte Avenue on April 27 through a smashed window and stole property.

Petty thefts: Items stolen from business, 800 block of Santa Cruz Avenue, April 23. Cash and tools stolen from car, 1000 block of Windsor Drive, April 28.
Wallet taken from vehicle, 300 block of El Camino Real, April 29.
Money missing from petty cash, 400 block of Ivy Drive, April 29.
Bicycle stolen, 200 block of El Camino Real, April 29.

Woodside

Assault/vandalism: A man reported damage to his vehicle on April 21 near the intersection of Interstate 280 and Woodside Road when a juvenile shot a BB gun at him.

Grand theft: Purse and sweatshirt stolen from car, Winding Way and Mountain Home Road, April 11.

Fraud: A resident of the 200 block of Woodside Drive reported on March 16 that someone stole the resident's personal credit card information and used it to call "adult" phone lines.

Vandalism: Rental car window smashed, 600 block of California Way, April 1.

Portola Valley

Vandalism: Vehicle keyed, 700 block of Portola Road, March 28. Someone drove onto property and damaged fence, first block of Redberry Ridge, April 27.
