Manminder Singh, 20, of Menlo Park was arrested April 27 on felony hit-and-run charges in connection with an accident at the intersection of Bayfront Expressway and Chilco Street that left a motorcycle rider with minor neck and back injuries.

A white compact car struck a motorcycle stopped at a red light on southbound Bayfront Expressway at around 6:45 a.m., said Sgt. Andrew Kline of the Menlo Park Police Department. The impact knocked the motorcyclist onto the ground, he said.

The driver of the white car immediately fled the scene without checking to see if the motorcyclist needed medical help, Sgt. Kline said.

Officer Kia Myers found the suspect vehicle in the 300 block of Hamilton Avenue. Investigation led to the arrest of Ms. Singh, who police said was driving the vehicle.

The motorcyclist was treated at Stanford Medical Center for minor injuries.
