(May 05, 2004) ** Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Robert J. Endecott , a 1995 graduate of Woodside High School, recently participated in "Operation Vigilant Resolve," while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS George Washington. During the operation, F/A-18 Hornets from the ship conducted a strafing run against an enemy position and dropped two 500-pound laser guided bombs on another enemy position in Fallujah, Iraq. The aircraft carrier is homeported in Norfolk, Va.
