This information is from the Atherton and Menlo Park police departments and the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Under the law, people charged with offenses are considered innocent until convicted.

Atherton

Mail tampering: Outgoing mail believed stolen from resident's mailbox, first block of Stockbridge Avenue, May 4.

Grand theft: A resident of the 300 block of Stockbridge Avenue reported on May 5 that someone stole a wedding ring from the residence.

Petty thefts: Plants stolen, Ridgeview Drive, April 30.
Bicycle stolen, 300 block of Stockbridge Avenue, May 3.

Menlo Park

Hit and run:
** Someone ran a stop sign, drove into another car near the intersection of Carlton Avenue and Newbridge Street and drove away on April 30.
** Someone drove into a parked car in the 1000 block of University Drive on May 5 and drove away. ** Someone drove into the right rear bumper of a car that was parked in the 300 block of Sharon Park Drive on May 6 and drove away.

Grand theft: Two truck ramps stolen, 200 block of Constitution Drive, May 5.

Fraud:
** A resident of the 600 block of Oak Grove Avenue reported on May 4 that someone made fraudulent charges on his credit card.
** Tanya Stewart, 34, of Menlo Park was arrested in the 300 block of Haight Street and booked into county jail on May 3 on felony identity theft charges.
** Someone reported on May 5 at the police station that he had been sending money to someone in Spain who promised him lottery winnings. He said he had not received winnings and had not heard from the person.

Vandalism: Vehicle window smashed, 3800 block of Bohannon Drive, May 4.
Vehicle window smashed, 500 block of Pope Street, May 4.
Vehicle spray painted, 1100 block of Del Norte Avenue, May 6.
Graffiti written in wet cement, Hamilton and Carlton avenues, May 6.

Burglary: A resident of the 300 block of Haight Street reported on May 6 that someone stole a DVD player, $60 in cash and a Wells Fargo bank card from the home.

Vehicle theft: A resident of the 1200 block of Hollyburne Avenue reported on May 3 that someone stole her vehicle from in front of the residence sometime before 10 p.m. the previous night.

Auto burglaries: Personal property stolen, 1300 block of Crane Street, May 3.
Mini discs and a black carry case taken, 1100 block of Willow Road, May 5.
Headlights, fog lights, grill and trim stolen from a Ford Mustang, 300 block of Sharon Park Drive, May 6.

Petty thefts: Registration tab removed from license plate, 1100 block of Willow Road, May 3.
Bicycle stolen, 1100 block of Elder Avenue, May 3.
Registration tab removed from license plate, 1300 block of Johnson Street, May 4.
Tan Diamondback mountain bike stolen, Helen Place, May 5.
Kenwood stereo stolen from unlocked vehicle, 500 block of Pope Street, May 6.
Wallet stolen out of pants left in unlocked car, 1600 block of Marsh Road, May 6.

Woodside

Grand theft:
** Someone left a gas station in the 2900 block of Woodside Road without paying for gas on April 25.
** A student at Canada College reported on April 29 that someone used her personal information to drop her from classes in which she was currently enrolled.
** Someone stole a mailbox and the letters inside from a residence in the 100 block of Normandy Lane, the resident reported, on April 30.

West Menlo Park

Fraud: A resident of the 2000 block of Avy Avenue reported on April 29 that someone used the resident's personal information to print fraudulent checks.

Ladera

Burglary: A resident of the first block of Aliso Way reported on April 30 that someone stole a camera from the residence.
