Matthews-Carlsen Body Works (M-C Body), in seventh place in the Alpine-West Menlo Little League at 4-7-0 as of May 8, had its first three-game win streak in two seasons. It began May 1 with a 5-4 come-from-behind victory in the seventh inning against Partners, also 4-7-0.

On May 3, M-C Body took on Morey's, 6-5-0, and Jack Schoebel threw a 2-0 shutout, giving up only one hit and two walks while striking out six.

On May 5, M-C Body played second place Peak Performance, 6-4-0, and pitcher Matthew Menninger struck out eight batters in another come-from-behind 4-3 win. Hitting for M-C Body were Jordan Johnson, Tess Hain and Jack Suiter. Robert Wickers went 2 for 3, knocking in the tying run, then scoring the winning run in the top of the fifth.

The Pro's defeated Hengehold, 9-3, on Tuesday and Peak Performance 8-4 on Saturday to hold onto first place at 9-0-1. Peak scored first in Saturday's contest and were down 5-4 going into the sixth behind excellent pitching from Garret Prioste. In the top of the sixth Pro's Adam Zuckerman and Noah Sheikh hit deep singles, Phil Mayer tripled for two RBIs and Sam McClure hit an RBI single to finish the at bat up 8-4. In the bottom of the sixth, Peak responded with a Luke Carriso double and sharp base running by Nate Waters, but were unable to score.

As of Saturday, May 8, the three teams tied for second place at 6-4-0 are Hengehold, Peak Performance and Stanford Park Hotel, and Morey's is close behind at 6-5-0.
