Workshop Saturday on Menlo bike plan Workshop Saturday on Menlo bike plan (June 23, 2004)

The last of three public workshops on creating a plan to make Menlo Park more bicycle-friendly is scheduled for Saturday, June 26.

Fueled by a $40,000 grant from Caltrans, the plan will include ways to encourage people to bike more, and proposals for expanding the city's network of bike paths, lanes and routes, city officials said.

The meeting will have a presentation on the existing network and give residents a chance to ask questions and comment on the plan.

The meeting will run from 10 a.m. to noon at the Burgess Recreation Center at 700 Alma St. To download copies of the plan and proposed bikeway map, go to www.menlopark.org/departments/trn/bike_project.html.
