Connoisseurs' Marketplace, Menlo Park's annual moveable feast, sponsored by the Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce, is coming to Santa Cruz Avenue on Saturday and Sunday, July 17 and 18.

Thousands of visitors are expected for the city's annual festival, which includes a juried art show, international cuisine, a chefs' demonstration tent, nonstop music, a gourmet food market, and a kids' "thrill zone."

Nine bands, headlined by Pride & Joy, will perform on two stages, while some 200 artists and craftsmen will exhibit ceramics, glass, fine art, photography, sculpture, jewelry, leather, textiles and wood.

Food stalls will be dishing up red curry chicken over rice, spring rolls and brown curry beef with rice, jambalaya, gumbo and many other dishes.

The chefs' demonstration tent will spotlight 10 restaurant chefs, who will prepare specialty dishes and offer samples and recipes for the home cook.

The festival will be held on Santa Cruz Avenue from El Camino Real to Johnson Street in Menlo Park. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission and parking are free. For more information, call 325-2818 or visit www.miramarevents.com.
