Wedding

Aisha Machtinger and Terry Houghton Jr. were married May 1 at the San Mateo County Historical Museum in Redwood City. A reception followed at the Garden Court Hotel in Redwood City.

The bride is the daughter of Karen and Steven Machtinger of Menlo Park. A graduate of Menlo School and Lewis and Clark College, she is working on a master's degree in social work at the University of Washington.

The bridegroom is the son of Linda Houghton of Lynnwood, Washington, and Terry Houghton Sr. of Portland. He is a firefighter in Kirkland, Washington.

Rachel Wall served as maid of honor. Carolyn Wall and Jessica Thomas were bridesmaids. Adam Tucker was best man and Noah Machtinger and Todd Anderson were ushers.

After a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the newlyweds are living in Seattle.
