Jennifer Nuckols reviews CollegeCase: 'Anything will help'

Special to the Almanac
As an organizational disaster who, as a freshman, struggled to find my credit card bills in the mound of scary official-looking papers on my desk, the CollegeCase is extremely appealing. This fall as a senior at Stanford, I'll toss out the "Get Set For College" section, but everything else will still be quite relevant. (As a new and ignorant car owner, I'm especially excited about the guidelines in the "property" section on cars.)
Not to discredit myself completely, during my first three years at school, I did have some nice manila envelopes in my file drawer. However, I was scared to ever put anything in them because I knew that once I did, it would be forgotten forever. So, all the important stuff sat and gathered dust on my desk until I would receive notification that something was overdue. When I did file papers, it seemed that everything ended up in the folder entitled "VIP Documents" anyway.
My one concern with CollegeCase is that it might not fit my copious year-long collection of bank statements, housing agreements and bills. But the users of the prototype assure me that it is quite expandable, so I'll stuff it to the brim. For anything that's left, there will always be room in that manila folder entitled "VIP Documents."
Jennifer Nuckols, a news intern at the Almanac this summer, will be a senior at Stanford in the fall.
