Local students perform in 'Sound of Music' Local students perform in 'Sound of Music' (August 11, 2004)

A group of local students will stage "The Sound of Music" the next two weekends in the Palo Alto High School Theatre, an annual benefit for Habitat for Humanity.

Tara Rolle, now 21, a graduate of UCLA and a teacher, directs what will be the sixth annual summer benefit produced by the group of middle school, high school and college students known as TTC Productions. The cast and production staff are all volunteers, said Ms. Rolle.

The community production opens Thursday, August 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Palo Alto High School Theatre, at the corner of El Camino Real and Embarcadero Road. Additional performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, August 13; 4:30 p. m. Sunday, August 15; 7:30 p.m. Friday, August 20, and 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, August 21.

Tickets, at $8 for kids under age 13 and $10 for adults, are available at the door or by calling 575-4773 or e-mailing ttcproductions@yahoo.com.
