In its annual recognition of the teaching staff at Menlo-Atherton High School, the Foundation for the Future -- which raises about $400,000 a year for the school -- has awarded unrestricted grants of $4,000 each to four M-A teachers. The winners for 2003-04 are, from left, Simone Kennel, special education; Lisa Otsuka, English; Denis Lose, science; and Angelica Rodriguez, Spanish. The award also recognized Toni Di Cicco, secretary to the guidance department, for her all-around professionalism.
