Caption with Carol Ivie photo in print edition: An aerial pumping system delivers wet concrete from the truck up through the white pipes and to the foundation for a new retaining wall along Santa Cruz Avenue near the intersection with Sand Hill Road on August 26. The two-year project, begun in April and scheduled to end in November 2005, will widen the intersection to four lanes in all directions and include bike lanes, turn lanes and pedestrian facilities.
