Caption with map in print edition: The stretch of Santa Cruz Avenue between Sand Hill Road and Alpine Road will be closed on Sunday, September 5, as part of the Sand Hill Road building project, Stanford University has announced. The closure, from 8 a.m. to about 7 p.m., is due to plans to move four large oak trees from the edge of Santa Cruz Avenue to new locations in the same area, Stanford says.
