Caption with picture in print edition: Competing in the Olympics on August 27, Menlo Park resident Grace Upshaw came in 10th place in the long jump. Jumping 21-91/2, she did not advance to the finals. Afterward, Upshaw was quoted on the USA Track and Field Web site as saying: "I made it here and I feel good about that. ... You've got to learn from these kinds of experiences and that's what I plan on doing."
