Local woman killed in road grader accident
Rebecca Kogan, 39, of Menlo Park was killed September 3 when she was run over by a Caterpillar road grader on Tower Road in American Canyon.
Tri-County Construction was grading the site near Highway 29 when Ms. Kogan was run over, according to Capt. Mike Loughran of the Napa County Sheriff's Department. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
American Canyon Fire Chief Keith Caldwell said Ms. Kogan may have been bending over and the man operating the grader apparently did not see her as he was backing up.
The Cultured Stone company has several buildings on the site and was having the area graded and paved for outdoor storage.
