Forum for Menlo Park City Council hopefuls September 29 Forum for Menlo Park City Council hopefuls September 29 (September 22, 2004)

They can't all be elected this fall, but at least all four candidates for the Menlo Park City Council will get a chance to try on the council chambers for size on Wednesday, September 29.

That evening, the four will speak and field questions on pressing city issues during a candidates' forum held by the Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce and the League of Women Voters. The 7:30 p.m. event is open to the public.

The candidates -- Andrew Cohen, Kelly Fergusson, Michael Lambert and Lorie Sinnott -- will be given time for opening and closing statements. In between, moderators will ask questions, some of which will be chosen from a pool of audience inquiries, said Fran Dehn, president and CEO of the chamber of commerce.

Two four-year terms on the council are on the November 2 ballot. Incumbents Paul Collacchi and Chuck Kinney have decided not to run again after serving two terms each.

The council chambers are at 801 Laurel St. For more information, call the chamber at 325-2818.
