Gunman robs Menlo gas station, customers Gunman robs Menlo gas station, customers (October 06, 2004)

Police are looking for a man armed with a semi-automatic handgun who robbed a Menlo Park gas station and mini-mart last week, and then pointed the gun at three customers and took their money.

The robbery at the Chevron 7-11 Mini-Mart on Willow Road occurred around 3:20 a.m. Friday, October 1, Menlo Park police reported.

Wearing a white scarf to cover his face, the man forced a clerk to give him money from a cash register, police said.

"No shots were fired and nobody was injured," said Sgt. Paul Kunkel.

The man fled on foot, and police, with help from neighboring police agencies and dogs, searched the area without success.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Menlo Park Police Department Investigations Unit at 330-6300.
