Police seek drive-by shooting suspects
(October 06, 2004) Menlo Park police have released sketches of two suspects in a drive-by shooting following a traffic altercation on the Dumbarton Bridge on September 20.
The men, who were driving a gold or tan minivan with tinted windows, fired about five shots into a vehicle at the intersection of Bayfront Expressway and University Avenue and Menlo Park just before 2 p.m., police said.
The victims were uninjured, but escaped being shot by a matter of inches, according to Detective Bill Massey.
The suspects are described as black men in their early- to mid-20s. The passenger wore a multicolored baseball cap and prescription-style eyeglasses, said Detective Massey, and there may have been other passengers in the van at the time.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Massey at 330-6363, or the Menlo Park Police Department's anonymous tip line at 330-6395.
