Caption with picture in print edition: A therapy horse at the National Center
for Equine Facilitated Therapy (NCEFT) in Woodside -- Topaz -- has been
named Region 11 therapy horse of the year by the North American Riding for
the Handicapped Association. He won for a kind, caring, and gentle approach
with patients. The public is invited to an NCEFT open house (2 to 4 p.m.)
and reception (4 to 6 p.m.) at the NCEFT facility, 5001 Woodside Road on
Thursday, October 7; and a pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday,
October 9, at the Woodside fire station, 3111 Woodside Road in Woodside.
