Rosemary Enthoven of Atherton is honorary chairman for the 13th authors' luncheon, to be held Saturday, November 6, at the Crowne Plaza/Cabana Hotel in Palo Alto.

The annual event benefits the Community Association for Rehabilitation.

Four authors will give presentations and be available to sign books.

The book salon opens at 10:30 a.m. for book sales and signing. At 11:30 a.m., the ballroom opens for luncheon seating.

The authors and their books are: Daniel Handler, "Lemony Snicket: the Unauthorized Biography"; Remy Charlip, writer and illustrator of 27 picture books for children; Karen Joy Fowler, "The Jane Austen Book Club"; and Eric Hansen, "Stranger in the Forest."

Tickets for the luncheon are $85 per person. Kepler's bookstore in Menlo Park will donate 10 percent of the day's book sales to the Community Association for Rehabilitation. For more information, call 812-2828 or go to
