Correction Correction (November 03, 2004)

A story in the October 27 issue of the Almanac erred in reporting that Assembly candidate Ira Ruskin's campaign exceeded a $744,000 spending limit by spending nearly $917,000.

The $917,000 is the Ruskin campaign spending total for both the primary and the general elections, as of October 15, 2004.

The $744,000 spending limit applies to the general election only. The Ruskin campaign says its total spending, as of October 26, 2004, for the general election is $730,600 -- $13,400 under the spending limit.

The Almanac apologizes for this error.
