Local band Acoustic Son plans to celebrate the release of its second CD with a performance at the Pioneer Saloon in Woodside from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, November 13.

Ken Kingsbury, Carolyn Shaw and Rick English plan to play songs from their newest release, "Time in the Middle," as well as tunes from their first album and favorite cover tunes.

The new album blends acoustic rock and ballads written by Mr. Kingsbury and Ms. Shaw that chronicle their life journeys, Ms. Shaw says.
