New CHP commander in Redwood City office

Capt. Bridget Lott -- a 21-year veteran of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) -- took over recently as the new area commander in the Redwood City office.

Most recently, Ms. Lott worked in special projects at CHP headquarters in Sacramento. Ms. Lott was also a sergeant out of the Redwood City office, where she was responsible for the motorcycle squad and community outreach.

Fritz Eberly, whom Ms. Lott is replacing, was promoted from captain to assistant chief.

Greg Trindle named assistant sheriff

Capt. Greg Trindle of the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office was recently promoted to assistant sheriff. He is currently the commander of the Maguire Correctional Facility and Sheriff's Detention Division, the largest division in the Sheriff's Office.

Capt. Trindle has 32 years of experience with the Sheriff's Office. His assignments have included patrol, courts, training manager and SWAT tactical commander. His experience ranges from correctional administration to weapons of mass destruction and crime scene investigation, said Sheriff Don Horsley.
