Caption with Carol Ivie picture in print edition: A new postal machine, which is open 24 hours a day and can handle packages sent by express, parcel or priority mail, is in operation at Menlo Park's main post office at 3875 Bohannon Drive. The $30,000 machine is called the "Automated Postal Center," and "could do for the post office what ATMs do for the banking industry," said Menlo Park Postmaster Tony Beltran.
