Local songbirds seeking like-minded people may wish to give the Cantabile Chorale a try.

The Palo Alto-based group is holding auditions for its 2004-05 concert season. They will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Monday, December 6, at First Presbyterian Church at 625 Hamilton in Palo Alto; and from 7 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, at All Souls Episcopal Church at 2220 Cedar St. in Berkeley. Appointments are required.

Auditioners will sing a prepared piece, then will be asked to do some vocalizing and sight-reading.
