Menlo Park rec courses cover fencing, wine, Web design
(December 01, 2004) There are the traditional rec-center classes on gymnastics, soccer, and arts and crafts. But the city of Menlo Park also offers a more eclectic blend of courses, including "Around the World in 80 Wines," "Home Buying for Women," and children's classes on fencing, rock climbing and Web page design.
The next round of city courses runs from January through June. Registration begins on December 6 for city residents and on December 15 for non-residents, and can be done via mail or fax or by dropping by the Burgess Recreation Center at 700 Alma St.
For a copy of the class guide, go to www.menlopark.org or call 330-2200.
