Ask the officer Ask the officer (December 08, 2004)

Menlo Park police officer Glenn J. Raggio answers questions about the police and law enforcement. Call 330-6396, or e-mail: asktheofficer@menlopark.org. Q. How many tickets do you write in a week? A. Not as many as I should. I do, however, make a lot of stops and issue warnings. I feel strongly about warnings; I think that a warning, properly articulated, can go a long way in making a point. A warning is a great way to alert someone that paying attention to the road in front is, at that moment, more important than the chores, coffee, or responsibilities toward which they're rushing.
