M-A boys soccer team defeats Willow Glen (December 08, 2004)

Menlo-Atherton High School boys soccer varsity team defeated Willow Glen 1-0 on Saturday at Valley Christian in San Jose. The winning goal was scored early in the second half by Alex Henriquez, a senior at M-A.

On the previous Saturday, M-A and Fremont played to a 1-1 draw in this extended Christmas Cup pre-season competition.

The final game for M-A in the Christmas Cup series is next Saturday, December 11, at Valley Christian at 8:30 a.m., when the opponent is Mount Pleasant High School.
