Alpine Hills club wants to expand Alpine Hills club wants to expand (December 15, 2004)

The Alpine Hills Tennis and Swimming Club in Portola Valley has asked the town's permission to add 100 memberships to its current membership of 600, but to do so gradually and without necessarily increasing the approximate number of individuals who use the club.

Over three years, the club would be allowed to reduce family memberships to 550 and open up 150 memberships for individuals and couples. The club would be required to track changes in usage patterns at the club and report back to the town's Planning Commission.

The Planning Commission has scheduled a public hearing for Wednesday, December 15, to discuss an amendment to the club's conditional use permit. The meeting will take place at 8 p.m. in the Historic Schoolhouse at 765 Portola Road.
