Sports Briefs: Alpine Little League starts signups
(December 22, 2004) Alpine Little League is now accepting registrations for the 2005 season. Players may sign up at www.eteamz.com.
For T-ball, players must be between 5 and 7 years old as of July 31, 2005. For the pitching machine division, players must be no more than 8 years old as of July 31, 2005.
Players ages 9 to 12 will try out for the Majors division. If they are not drafted, they will play in the Minors. All players must be between 9 and 12 as of July 31, 2005.
Junior players must be ages 13 or 14 as of July 31, 2005. Seniors must be 15 or 16 as of July 31. Big League players must be 17 or 18 as of July 31.
To receive a registration form by mail, call Dennis Di Ricco, a member of the board of directors of the Alpine West Menlo Little League, at 303-0685.

M-A boys soccer team plays to two ties
Menlo-Atherton High School boys varsity soccer team played to two ties in recent competition.
After pushing ahead 3-1, M-A gave up two goals and finished in a tie with El Camino High School in South San Francisco on December 15. M-A goals were scored by Charlie Beavis (2) and Bryan Jorgensen (1).
On December 10, M-A tied Westmoor 1-1. M-A's goal was scored by senior Nathan Mazonson who netted a rebound off the goalie following a free kick.
