Johnston-Meier

Kathryn B. Johnston and Michael J. Meier were married September 19 at Chambers Landing at Lake Tahoe. The lakeside ceremony was highlighted by an unexpected dusting of September snow, according to the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Malcolm and Dr. Janet Johnston of Menlo Park. She attended Phillips Brooks and St. Joseph schools, graduating from Menlo-Atherton High School. She completed her bachelor's degree at Stanford University, and her master's in public health at George Washington University. She graduated from the UC Davis School of Medicine, and is now a pediatrician in private practice at Marin Pediatric Associates in Greenbrae.

The bridegroom is the son of Dr. Joseph and Mary Ellen Meier of Export, Pennsylvania. He attended the U.S. Naval Academy and completed his bachelor's degree in economics at Westminster College. He is an institutional trader for Harris Nesbitt Corp. in San Francisco.

Guests came from as far as Japan and Australia to attend the wedding, where the co-maids of honor were Amy Hale and Clarissa Turner. Sofie Marie Sarpa was flower girl and Michael and Matthew Meier were ring bearers.

Anthony Decesare and Roger Kacin were co-best men. The ushers were Ben Johnston and Naval Commander John Meier.

After a honeymoon in the wine country, the couple is living in Pacific Heights in San Francisco. They are planning a longer trip to Asia next year.
Kelley-Fehrenbach

Kathleen Kelley and Isaac Fehrenbach were married July 17 at Stanford Memorial Church. A reception followed at the Palo Alto Hills Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Sharon and Tom Kelley of Portola Valley. She is a graduate of St. Francis High School and Duke University. She works in finance at Thomas A. Kelley Investments in Portola Valley.

The bridegroom is the son of Cynthia and Thomas Fehrenbach of Lansing, Michigan. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the Stanford Graduate School of Business and is a venture capitalist with Greylock Partners in San Mateo.

Sage Llewellyn was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Michelle Englert, Megan Gardner, Molly Kelley and Anne Zink. Thomas Fehrenbach was best man. The groomsmen were Mark Kelley, Matthew Kelley, Todd Levy and Carlito Young. Ushers were Daniel Simon, John Taylor and Cameron Kelley.

After a honeymoon in Italy, the couple is living in Menlo Park.
