Help needed at Woodside museum

Volunteers are needed to run the new Woodside Community Museum in the old Mathiesen farmhouse near Town Hall.

An organizational meeting will be held Thursday, January 13, at 9:30 a.m. in the museum.

Help is needed for everything from staffing the museum office and answering visitor questions to planning future exhibits, fundraising, publicity, and community outreach and education.

Parent workshop

Busy, busy, busy? Make time for a free workshop for parents on creating and maintaining family togetherness in these overscheduled times. The workshop, led by educator Tom Hunter, takes place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, January 13, at Ladera Community Church, 3300 Alpine Road in Portola Valley. To register, call 854-5481.
