Boys, January 16 report: The team won three games (all on the road) this past week and now has a record of 13-5 (4-1 in league games), and is in third place in the PAL South Division. On January 11, the Wildcats beat Aragon, 88-40. Woodside's Dominic Cruz-Duncan had 21 points. On January 12, the team won impressively again, at Hillsdale, 69-39. Juston Smith had 17 points and 7 rebounds, and Eric Berman pitched in 10 points and 7 rebounds. On January 14, Woodside won a close and spirited game at Sequoia, 57-53. James Sandoval had 14 points and 5 rebounds, and Aaron Mayfield scored all 10 of his points in the second half. This week's games: at San Mateo on January 19 at 3:15 p.m.; at home against M-A on January 21 at 7:45 p.m.

Girls, January 16 report: The team lost twice and won once last week, and now has a record of 11-8 (1-4), and is in sixth place in the PAL South Division. On January 11, the squad lost at Aragon, 48-26. Jasmine Lewis had 16 points for Woodside. On January 12, the team routed Hillsdale 43-12 at home behind Arianne Smith's 11 points. On January 14, Woodside lost at Sequoia, 55-45. Lewis scored 23 points for the Wildcats, who couldn't overcome a barrage of late turnovers, and gave up 24 points in the fourth quarter. This week's games: January 19 at 3:15 against San Mateo; January 21 at 6:15 against M-A.
M-A basketball

Boys, January 16 report: The team won twice and lost once last week, has a record of 8-7 (3-2), and is tied for fifth place in the PAL South Division. On January 11, M-A lost to Burlingame at home, 54-49. Dan Trautman hit five 3-pointers in the game on his way to a team-high 23 points. Carson Finkle added 10 points in the loss. On January 12, M-A won at Capuchino, 50-40, behind Trautman's 17 points. On January 14, the team routed Carlmont 64-44 on the road. Trautman completed his stellar week with 22 points for the Bears. This week's games: at home against Aragon on January 19 at 3:15; January 21 at 7:45 at Woodside.

Girls, January 16 report: The team lost twice and won once this week and now has a record of 10-7 (2-3). The team is currently in fifth place in the PAL South Division. On January 11, M-A lost to Burlingame, 56-43, on the road. Karley Marty had 17 points and Christina Dixon added eight in the defeat. On January 12, the Bears beat Capuchino at home, 50-40. Sigourney Jellins and Marty has 12 and 10 points, respectively, to lead M-A. On January 14, the squad lost to Carlmont at home, 42-30. Jellins had eight points and Mia Sanchez pitched in nine rebounds. This week's games: at Aragon on January 19 at 3:15; at Woodside on January 21 at 6:15.
