Five men armed with handguns robbed La Hacienda Market on Menalto Avenue in Menlo Park on Saturday night, January 22, and fled with an undetermined amount of cash, said Sgt. Jim Simpson of the Menlo Park police.

The men -- four black and one white -- went to the various cash registers in the market and demanded money from the clerks, police said. There were no injuries reported.

All the men wore bandannas over their faces and all were believed to be in their 20s, Sgt. Simpson said. Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Detective Bill Massey at 330-6300.
