The murder trial for former Menlo Park resident Joseph Morrow has been postponed again, this time until June 27, according to a spokeswoman for San Mateo County Superior Court.

The prosecutor for the case, Deputy District Attorney Jack Grandsaert, was appointed a Superior Court judge last month, and a new prosecutor has not yet been appointed.

The trial was scheduled to begin January 24.

Mr. Morrow faces charges of first-degree murder in the 1991 death of his wife Donna.

Ms. Morrow was the mother of four young children at the time of her disappearance, a few days before Christmas, and Mr. Morrow told police she had walked out of their College Avenue home.

Menlo Park police say Mr. Morrow killed his wife, buried her body on property he owned in Los Gatos, and subsequently fled the country.

He was found living under an assumed name in the Philippines and extradited to the United States on passport fraud charges in January 2003. Ms. Morrow's body was discovered in September 2003.
