Ask the officer Ask the officer (February 16, 2005)

Menlo Park police officer Glenn J. Raggio answers questions about the police and law enforcement. Call 330-6396, or e-mail: asktheofficer@menlopark.org. Q. Do you ever wish you were a firefighter? You always speak highly of them. A. There's a joke that has been going around since I became a policeman: What do police officers and firefighters have in common? They both want to be firefighters! I'm very fortunate I'm still enthralled by my profession. I wouldn't change my badge for any price. I must tell you, though, I think the Menlo Park Fire District is one classy act. Their professionalism shows at every scene I share with them. I'm not sure how it is in other cities, but in Menlo Park, the fire district and police department have an excellent relationship and work very well together.
