What are some of the great or not-so-great excuses people give when stopped for traffic violations? A. I once pulled over a driver for running a stop sign only three blocks from his house. I approached his car and asked for his license. "What seems to be the problem, officer?" "Well, sir, you didn't stop for that stop sign behind you." The driver adjusted his rear-view mirror to examine the sign, and said with an expression of exaggerated disbelief on his face, "When did they put that in?" My laughter started his. To be continued.
