Caption with Carol Ivie picture in print edition: Ballet Folklorico dancers were among the entertainment at last week's "Dip a Chip for Education" event at Selby Lane School in Atherton. The event helped buy books for classrooms, and featured a salsa competition (the dip, not the dance). About 150 people came to watch dance groups Ballet Folklorico, Mexico Vivo and the Selby Lane Hip Hop Dancers perform, said Jenny Redo, who is the president of the Selby Education Foundation.
