The following information was published with a photo of the designer's model chosen for the new performing arts center:

The sweeping roof lines in this model of a 500-seat performing arts center is a foreshadowing of things to come at the intersection of Middlefield Road and Ravenswood Avenue on the campus of Menlo-Atherton High School. The design -- by Hodgetts + Fung Design Associates of Culver City -- was the unanimous choice of an eight-member jury that met in closed session Saturday evening, June 4, following a day of public presentations of design proposals by six competing firms. The Sequoia Union High School District is shooting for an opening in September 2007, and plans are to make the $17 million theater available for community use.
