Menlo Park man gunned down; suspect is still at large Menlo Park man gunned down; suspect is still at large (June 08, 2005)

Multiple gunshot wounds took the life of a Menlo Park man who was socializing outside an East Palo Alto house the evening of May 30 when a man walked up to the house and started shooting.

Paramedics from the Menlo Park Fire Protection District arrived minutes after the incident at 1503 Kavanaugh Drive and pronounced Dwayne Anthony Henry, 35, dead at about 5 p.m., said Lt. Lisa Williams of the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

Three other men were wounded and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Lt. Williams. Police are not disclosing their identities.

Witnesses described the suspect to East Palo Alto police as tall, thin and wearing a mask and a black hooded sweatshirt. They said he fled on foot after the shooting, heading south on Kavanaugh Drive. The suspect is still at large.

The Sheriff's Office is investigating the murder, the fifth in East Palo Alto this year. Anyone with information can call Detective Gary Ramos at 363-4064, Sgt. Linda Gibbons at 363-4063, or the Sheriff's Office anonymous tip line at 1-800-547-2700.
