Streamkeeper training this Saturday in Woodside Streamkeeper training this Saturday in Woodside (June 08, 2005)

Creek lovers are invited to adopt a section of San Francisquito Creek and watch over it as a "streamkeeper."

The San Francisquito Watershed Council will give its annual streamkeeper training Saturday, June 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Woodside School, 3195 Woodside Road, in Woodside.

Streamkeepers volunteer at least three hours a month to help preserve healthy streams by watching for and reporting trends and unusual happenings.

The training session includes classroom orientation plus a session in the creek learning to identify indicators of creek health.

Training is free, but reservations are required. Call Pam Sturner at 962-9876, ext. 304, or email creeks@acterra.org.
