Little League: Lutticken's wins M-A league title again
(June 22, 2005) Lutticken's beat Anderson's 7-2 in the Majors' championship game at the new Burgess Field on Saturday, June 11.
Lutticken's ace pitcher Chace Warren pitched all six innings and had six strikeouts and gave up three hits.
Anderson's pitcher was Andrew Lim who pitched five innings.
Lutticken's hitters were hot with John Athens going three for three with a single, double and his first home run of the year over the left field fence.
Austin Clarence and Chace Warren each hit a double; Danny O'Neel had two singles; and Casey Eason, Nicolas Henze, Tommy Cummings and Isaac Block each hit a single.
Anderson's hitters were Taylor Karis with a double and Ryan Chilcoat with a single.
Lutticken's faced Anderson's in a game earlier in the Majors double- elimination playoff series and battled from behind to win 7-6 with a wild seven-run rally at the end of the sixth inning.
Lutticken's regular season record was 13-7, which was tied with Draeger's for first place. Lutticken's won its first two playoff games to get to the championship game.
Lutticken's has won the M-A Little League Majors championship the last two years. Lutticken's will face Alpine's Hengehold in the annual July Fourth game at Burgess Field, starting at 11 a.m.
Report by Chandler Eason, a co-coach of the Lutticken's team along with John Henze.
