The St. Louis Cardinals of San Carlos defeated Alpine/West Menlo's Hengehold Truck Rental 7-3 in the consolation game of the Tournament of Champions on June 20 at Ford Field in Portola Valley.

Jackson Criswell and Nick Fiore each scored in the bottom of the first inning, getting the Cardinals off to a quick two-run lead.

Hengehold posted its first run in the top of the third when Leo McCabe singled and scored on Jason Cortella's powerful smack into center.

The Cardinals opened up the game in the bottom of the third by scoring four runs, beginning with Trevor Norgarrd's double to drive in Jackson Criswell. Tyler Ramey then doubled into right field to bring in two more. Ramey later scored to increase the Cardinal's lead to 6-1.

Hengehold, sparked by Jason Cortella's base hit, attempted a rally at the top of the fifth. Hengehold scored two in the frame behind Louis McCabe's double and singles from Andrew Zaky and Jason Colleau.

San Carlos scored its seventh and final run in the bottom of the fifth.

Jordan Paroubeck was the winning pitcher for San Carlos.
