Phyllis Lucas-Woods has been named vice president of student services at Canada College, a post she occupied on an interim basis the past school year.

A graduate of Skyline College in San Bruno in 1971, she later received a master's degree in English literature from San Francisco State University. She returned to Skyline as an English professor and dean of language arts and learning resources.

Ms. Lucas-Woods joined the staff of Canada College in 2000 as dean of the university center and academic support services.
