** In the July 13 issue of The Almanac, it was incorrectly stated that opponents of the Sausal Creek development of five one-story homes for seniors have 30 days to appeal to the Town Council the July 6 decision of the Portola Valley Planning Commission. In fact, opponents have 15 days to appeal. The deadline for appeals is the close of business Thursday, July 21.

** In "Rethinking Waste," the cover story in the July 13 issue, the wrong telephone number was given for the RecycleWorks in the box titled "Resources and information on recycling." The correct number is 1-888-442-2666.
