Canada College has new president
Thomas C. Mohr, a former superintendent of the San Mateo Union High School District, has been appointed the interim president of Canada College by the board of the San Mateo Community College District.
Mr. Mohr will preside during what is expected to be a six-month national search for a permanent president, said a college spokesman.
During his term, Mr. Mohr said he is interested in strengthening the outreach programs and partnerships the college has with area high schools.
On August 1, Rosa Perez -- the previous president of Canada College -- took over as chancellor of the San Jose/Evergreen Community College District.
