Locals perform at Mountain House
(August 31, 2005) Two local women -- Kathe Dempsey of Portola Valley and Betsy Lewis of Woodside -- are among the performers at the Mountain House bar and restaurant in Woodside over the Labor Day weekend.
The two are members of the Sha-Bubs trio (the third is Sharon Caren) that will perform classic rock vocals with singer/guitarist Dave Crimmen on Saturday afternoon, September 5, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Mountain House.
Mountain House, located at 13808 Skyline Blvd., just up the road from the Labor Day weekend Kings Mountain Art Fair, will have musical entertainment from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday, September 3-5.
Ms. Lewis and her husband, Pat, operate Langley Hill Quarry, a local construction company. An executive assistant in the Office of the President at Stanford University, Ms. Lewis has lived in Woodside for 30 years.
Music in the redwoods begins Saturday afternoon with entertainer Nick Molchany followed by Dave Crimmen and The Sha-Bubs.
Sunday's performers are singer-songwriter Jack Mullins and the Falling Stars band. Monday's entertainers are singer-songwriter Garrick Davis and the Bartron Tyler Group.
The bar opens at 1 p.m., with bar food served from 3 p.m. Dinner is served from 5 p.m. For information, call the Mountain House at 851-8541. The address is 13808 Skyline Blvd., Woodside.
