Joan, Bob Stiff of Woodside celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
(September 14, 2005) Joan and Robert (Bob) Stiff of Woodside celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on September 14.
They were married on that date in 1955 at the 19th Avenue Baptist Church in San Francisco.
They came to Woodside in 1966, where they raised four children, made many friends, and became very active in the community.
Joan Stiff was a Woodside planning commissioner and council member for many years, and served three terms as mayor. In addition, she's been active in the Woodside Village Church.
Bob Stiff was president of Canada College from 1983 to 1990, and has been president of the Rotary Club in Redwood City.
They have four children (Deidre Collier of San Jose, Laura Stiff of Los Gatos, Paul Still of Mill Valley and Eric Stiff of Sacramento); five grandchildren; and a great grandchild (with another on the way).
