"Nature's Inspirations" is the theme of a show and auction of nature paintings and photographs to benefit the Committee for Green Foothills on Sunday, October 2, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at The Ranch at Half Moon Bay.

San Mateo County Supervisor Rich Gordon will conduct a live auction at 5 p.m.

Photographer Deane Little of Los Altos will receive the Jane Gallagher award for his photographs taken on preserves owned and managed by the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, of which he is a board member.

Other photographers selected to show their works are Robert Buelteman of Montara, Barbara Kossy of Moss Beach, and William K. Matthias of Millbrae. Paintings by artists Mariellen Baker of Half Moon Bay, Jim Caldwell of Woodside, Mary Kay S. Jolley of El Granada, and Floy Zittin of Cupertino will be shown.
