Woodside plans cleanup day Woodside plans cleanup day (September 28, 2005)

Old cell phones, computers, TVs and other "E-waste" can be recycled at Woodside's Fall Cleanup Day from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, October 1. Recycling trucks will be ready and waiting in the parking lot of Woodside Elementary School at 3195 Woodside Road.

The event is also an opportunity to unload unwanted and unwieldy things such as old bicycles, stereos, carpeting, furniture, washing machines and dryers, stoves and water heaters. Batteries, plastic toys and small amounts of rock, dirt and concrete will be accepted as well.

Save regular recycling items, such as bottles, cans and newspapers, for curbside pickup. Don't bring chemicals, paints, tires, refrigerators or other appliances that contain CFCs or that have gas-powered engines such as lawn mowers and leaf blowers, as they will not be accepted.

For more information call the town of Woodside at 851-6790.
